Alright
So I would have never expected it to be that hard to leave UCLA..but it really has become my second home. *sniff* At least we all got a chance to end it all one last time with that fatass party! Haha, there's one night I'll never forget. Much love to 3N, 5N, 7N, and Hedrick Staff for an AAWWEEESSOOMMMMMMEEEE year! :P
Let's see, being home is definitely nice. There's definitely nothing like home cookin. Other than that, good ol Los Altos still hasn't changed :P Haha, I've already gone to Verde three times...yes...I definitely feel like it's already summer :P Just walkin around Downtown Mountain View and watching movies - it's definitely summer :P Haha, there's not much more we can do ;)
So here are the summer plans:
Working part time for wedding planner - still free for afternoons!1 - 2 weddings in July, 3 in August, 3 in September
I also got a job giving private tennis lessons to a family friend, twice a week (Wed & Fri afternoons)
June 27-29 Ling and Erin are comin' up
July Going down to LA for a week
September 3 East Coast for a week to visit Michelle and Ling
Definitely wanna go down to LA more often, so anybody else who is planning on going down lemme know!! |

Hahaha :P Phrase of the quarter: "ahh...fuck it, we're going out"
Ok, so I do'nt know what the hell happened this quarter..or what was SUPPOSED to happen the last two quarters...but yeah, basically I FINALLY realized that, "hey..i'm in college, and I can do whatever I want (with limits ;) ...as long as I can deal with the consequences." A little procrastination can't hurt eh? :P
So yeah, I dunno what the hell I've been doing this quarter, but where the hell did time go?! I can't believe there's only 2 weeks left. Not to make it worse, but that only makes everything even MORE busier just cuz I gotta do EVERYTHING before I go back up north...ie, I'm going to Disneyland next week, DEFINITELY more clubbin (why I didn't discover this earlier?? no idea...), going out to dinner, paintballin, end of the year events, blah blah...so much!
Now that the school year's comin to an end, I realized how insane this whole year was, and how awesome of an experience I've had. Those of you who have kept up with me know how shitty my grades were, how many times I ran amuck between different groups of friends, my involvement with sports, my ups and downs and everything...but after talking to a couple people, I've realized I'm finally in my own little groove of things, and i"m just starting to LOOOVEEE everything, and now it's time to go :(
LA really is the place to be :P There's literally so much happenin every day! Haha, I think I just really like the fact that I can go to anyone's room in about 5 seconds and just crash there for the rest of the night. Hha :P Shiet. Los Altos is such an old white people town :P Hahah, oh wellz, home is still always nice..and there's always Verde eh? :P Ahh shit, who wants to start a bet on how much money Michelle and I will be spending on pearl milk tea this summer :P As I recall, last summer, it was more expensive than smoking. Shit. Good thing I'll have an exciting and excellent paying job :P
So yeah, just a quick update about the past two weeks..played lots of volleyball, my IM made into the playoffs, and then lost, but I got picked up by Ali's team, and we played in the quarter, semi, and championship, but lost to some white people I knew from Mountain View and "baldie". But whatever yo, never regretted playing IM soccer or volleyball for one second. I been working, not so much cuz we hired more people, but that's cool, no worries, it gives me more time to go out :P I saw X-Men, and Matrix...went shopping down in Santa Monica with Ling where we exploited Express for about $100 worth of clothes :P haha, ask me later how good we are at ripping people off :P Let's see...went clubbing a couple times, which was excellent fun. And dammit, it's so cheap compared to the bay area. *sigh* and so much better than that shady Limelight *shudder* Oh yea, went to the beach, yayyyy, I feel liek I've had a lot of access to cars lately too :P which is always a good thing, cuz car = go places :P yyay for hookups!
So yeah, that about sums up everything. School work..is going pretty well since I've gone back to half-assing everything, but hey..what's new :P haha, some things just never change :P I'm sure I'll regret it later..but hey, it's freshman year :P Alright..well I've procrastinated enough on my essay (daymn spider solitaire, text twist...SO ADDICTING)

Alright, so this is gonna be the most exciting journal ever. Lemme start with my story.
Alright, so I know this girl and she's an acquaintance of mine, and we've hung out a couple times, and she works for this company called Vartec (Excel). So she calls me up one day and tells me a job offer, and I don't wanna be mean so I go to the interview...and I KNOW i'm SO retarded for doing this, but I agree to joing, which also means I have to deposit $398 basically to make sure that I commit to it.
Here's the deal about the business. It's a telecomm firm like MCI, AT&T, Sprint, except supposedly it's like 2 cents cheaper than AT&T. So what I'm supposed to do is find representatives (like me) to advertise Excel, or else I'm supposed to find customers to buy their services (cell phone, pagers, phone lines, yadday yadda) And the deal is, I get paid by how many people I get to represent and how many customers I get. So technically if I don't work at all, I'm not gonna get any money. But the incentive is that once I find a rep., and then that person finds another rep., I would get a certain percentage of the amount of money that the people below me make. So it's like a whole pyramid scheme.
So I think about it over the weekend, and I decide..it's not for me cuz I reallly don't like to and don't want to hassle my friends and family and be like, "I'm a poor little girl, will you buy my services?" Ugh, I hate making people feel obliged to do things just cuz they're my friends!
So I call this guy up, and I'm like, ya know, this isn't really my thing. Plus I have a friend Estella who wants to do it, but she doesn't have the money for the deposit, why can't I "pay" for her with my deposit and she can go ahead and work?? And he gives me this bullshit answer about how my application was processed. And then this guy is SUCH AN ASSHOLE TO ME. And he tries to bring my friend Lyna into it and saying how I'm letting her down and blah blah. He's also telling me that everyone goes through it and how he went through it 3 weeks ago, and I'm like WTF? 3WEEKS!? AND he's only a fourth year. Man, Lyna told me he was a fucking hiring boss. And THEN, omg, he pucks a fucking VALUE on me. He says, "Personally, you're only worth 10 dollars" And I'm like WTF?! Who the fuck do you think you are and why the fuck do you care so much if I'm only worth 10 dollars?! Obviously I didn't say that cuz I'm fucking passive on the phone and I basically let him trample over me. And then he goes into this whole thing about me stealing money from the company and I"m like, I just want my deposit back! I'm finding you a fucking replacement, it's the same thing! And I totally didn't understand the whole stealing thing. But I put him on hold..and I guess I wasn't covering the place where you talk into the phone :P (mostly cuz I didn't even know where it is..hehe) and then I ask Sivhour for some advice who's sitting there next to me and she tells me how I can't let him push me over and that I've made my decision and that's final. And then Sivhour doesn't understand why I can't get my money back and I do'nt either so I tell her to pretend to be Estella, and I get back onto the phone and I"m like, "Estella's here, can you explain again why the money can't be transfered over?" And..haha, he says, "you know what, I just heard your conversation and we don't accept that kind of thing, you're just stealing money from us, and you're not gonna get your $400 back." And I'm like "fine." But what I shoudl have said was fuck you, you do'nt even know me, you don't know that I fucking live in Los Altos where your poor ass couldn't even afford to live for a week and I drive my own fucking car which is a billion times better than your jank ass putt putt car. Hmph.
Like literally, I have NEVER had anyone be that rude to me before EVER in my life. And the fact that he put A VALUE on me. Man...when I told Ann, Sarah, Estella, we were bout to drive over to his house and bust a cap on his ass! Dude, if the guy had been nice and had only said, "I'm sorry, there's nothing you can do, you signed a contract, and ...yeah, I'm sorry" I woudl have been like, it's ok, it's my own fault that I didn't pay attention to what I was getting into, and it's fine. But no. This guy had to such a fucking asshole about it, and I didn't even know why!
Until now. :P
Guys, I'm a fucking genius and I'm going royally screw this guy over. He thinks HE'S ripping me off, mann, this guy does not know what the fuck i'm bout to do to him.
When I got interviewed this is what he told me WORD FOR WORD. "I am so positive, that you will make money, that if you don't, I will guarantee you $998" I guess I made a really good impression on him :P Haha, i guess he was really impressed that I wanted my own business(wedding planning) and that I thought I was gonna make $40 grand after I get outta college (which was actually some number i made up cuz I don't know the difference of a paycheck between a desk clerk or doctor). SO yeah, I guess he was really confident in me.
SO yeah, after being pissed off for a long time last night, I finally figured it out. My contract says:
"I Vincent Kao/Lyna Chon, in association with Team Excel, hereby offer, Bonnie Chen, the following money back guarantee:
The entire Management Services Deposit of $398(THIS IS CROSSED OUT AND CHANGED TO $998, and INITIALED BY VINCENT) will be refunded in its entirety REGARDLESS of how many reps or customers you have signed up if you have me, Vincent Kao/Lyna Chon, show a minimum of 10(ten) qualified prospects the Excel business plan. There is no time limit to redeem this offer."
What bitch WHAT. Haha, so yes. IF you didn't understand that. Basically..all I gotta do is find ten people for them to interview, and then they owe me $998. So this guy is so fucking retarded. He's gonna lose $600 outta his pocket cuz he's a fucking moron :P No wonder he was so pissed.
ANywayz, so for the 10 people who're helping me out, we's gonna go out and have a mighty nice dinner for lots of mulah :P

Aiite. So I just forgot to mention a couple of things. So yes, C&O Trattoria is wayyy up there in my favorite restaurants! Haha :P No, I didn't go again, but YES i'm still raving about it :P So yeah, when our food started to be served, no one touched their food until everyone had their food, and two people got their food late. And then the manager personally came himself and basically gave us a little speech about how you don't see this kind of thing these days and how great it is to see people who still do this kinda thing :P So yeah, it was REALLY sweet, plus since the two people got their food late, one was discounted, and the other was just taken out of the bill! How awesome is that! And the FOOOD. *gawk* I could eat the leftovers for days! :P
Next, I just had some WONDERFUL conversations with Estella, Ling, and Sirin tonight :P And haha, I have permission to make fun of Estella, who apparently can't read worth crap :P Haha, she's reading her lecture out loud and here's our convo

| Spring Sing, Ice Skating, Baking Cake, Dinner |

Okay, and this was one crazy ass weekend, and I just wanted to say that the only reason I'm writing this livejournal right now is cuz...
Okay, I take this shuttle like every other day and it takes me to campus..and so today I was sitting there waiting for it...waited for 10 minutes..and usually this thing is EXACTLY on time, so I'm like..what the hell...so..it's really too late for me to start walking to class :P so..yes. I'm not going to class cuz i missed the shuttle. And so I'm in the lobby complaining to Ling :P and then she's like..OH IT'S HERE! And my heart skips a beat, and I'm on the phone telling Ann I won't be on campus, and then Ling goes, just kidding, and I'm gonna kick her ass :P AND THEN SHE'S LIKE. OMG IT'S HERE! and she starts freaking out and i don't know if it's real or not, and so it is, and I'm trying to desperately pick up my things and they're dropping all over the lobby, and then it drives away. that punk ass driver. hmph. anywayz, so now I have to despeartely study for my stats midterm, especially since i'm missing stats right now. grrr.
Speaking of Ling, we went to Spring sing on Friday night. except it rained. and rained. and rained. Haha, it's a talent show, with like celebrity judges, but no one really big was there, just like..one of the characters from better luck tomorrow, steven from real world, ryan starr from american idol, yadda yadda. So yeah, Ling and I toughed it out as long as we could, and then everyone went home with pneumonia. Man...we didn't even have an umbrella at first. We're sittin there with plastic bags on our heads and yeah. :P
Alright so Saturday, Jeff, Ling, Dennis, and I go out, in Jeff's supercool truck :P And we went ice skating, which I haven't done in yeaarss :P But it was all good fun. Haha, we totally caused insanity on the ice. Haha, none of us know how to stop and yeah, little kids were everywere. However, I believe the highlight of the day was baking the cake. :P
Hahah, all we had was ...the mix. :P So we entered the kitchen, and yeah, we had nothign. We even got our eggs from Reiber dining hall :P We used Ricky's pans, bowls, whisk, and then there were girls in the kitchen that had just finished baking, and so we used their measuring cup, bottled water, radio :P Haha, basically EVERYTHING. Man..i've become the biggest moocher ever :P BUT IT"S SOOO CONVENIENT! :P
Haha, so yeah..the cake when REALLY well..except Ling kept dropping egg shells in it ;P and yeah, other stuff :P And then we were making it two layers...but like..ya know how it rises and the surface area expands...yeah..I know we have no excuse, but THE FREAKING TOP LAYER OF THE CAKE SPLIT IN HALF! :P and so we glued it together with an insane amount of icing. haha :P Actually, what Ling and I did was irrepairable, it was philip who really fixed it :P
And then we served it to random people and we had no utensils..or plates...so basically...FINGER FOOD. Gawd..i don't wanna know how many people touched that cake. :P Haha :P
And to finsih off the weekend, we went to C&O Trattoria to celebrate Ling's birthday dinner, and during the whole time, Ling and I just oogled over Johnny Reznik and the rest of Goo Goo Dolls who were sitting at the next table over. Haha, and then Ling had the guts to ask johnny for a picture, and I took the picture, except Johnny blinked, and I was too shamed to go back for a nother picture! They were eating dinner!! Haha, oh well, we're the reason they're rich and famous anywayz. :P So yeah, exciting weekend. Paintballing is STILL happening by the way, so yeah :P In 2 weeks babbeyy! :P

Aiitte. So everything in the past two weeks just seems like a blur. Haha, I can't even remember what the hell I did. :P There was definitely some work, some volleyball, some quizzes and a midterm, and lots of just running around :P
Plus I've been in SUCH a good mood lately :P I don't even know why. But I think it's cuz of Whitney Houston's song :P hahahah, for those of you who know, I can listen to one or two songs repeated after each other FOR DAYS :P Hahha :P These songs just make me wanna get up and dance and sing at the top of my lungs :P Which is what me and my roomie do after we take our showers, so we're dancing around in our towels ;P singing like Whitney Houston!! Haha, it's a great feeling! :P
And it's weird, but personally, I think college is becoming more like high school :P By this quarter, I've met so many people, it's so awesome! And all y'all know I gots a smile on my face most of the time, and now it really is like that all the time :P I just feel in such a good mood these days :P Hahah, and definitely getting more hyper than usual :P
I've also been trying to get back into touch with people :P which makes me sooo happy!! :P Haha, text messages, emails, letters, phone calls...it feels so good be talking to everyone again. People are going home next weekend...but yeah..I can't :( And I actually don't think I'm going home at all this quarter, but ya know what, I don't mind so much :P Haha, I guess it could be a bad thing, but then I'm busy with other stuff down here, so whatever.
Tonight's Spring Sing..which is like a talent show judged by celebrities, and Ling got me and some of the other front deskers some reserved tickets, so yeahhh, we'll be up and sitting with some other celebrities :P ALthough I hear they aren't really big people, maybe I'll sit next to someone special :P Haha, yeah, very much looking forward to that!
Haha, and guess what I get to do tomorrow!! I'm going paintballing!!! Haha, yay, for Ling's Birthday! A whole bunch of front deskers and RA's are going to this paintballing place, and from the looks of it, it likes a manmade desert with like...barrels and boxes for hiding :P Hahah, and knowing me and how I bruise SOOO easily, this'll be interesting. Hahah, I'm TOTALLY wearing one of those masks that look like gas masks :P and just imagine me running frantically screaming my head off :P Ahh shit. I'm gonna get so many bruises. Hahah :P Oh well :P
Anywayz, hope everyone's doing good! I can't believe some of you guys are getting out so soon!! But I'm loving where I am at this quarter, so it's gonna be sad to leave :( No more wandering around chillin with people in the AM, and the convenience of just walking across the floor to talk to people. *sigh* The year passed so quickly!! Ah well..summer's gonna be ten times as good :P
Hehe, my wedding planner's having her baby soon!! And we got 8 weddings to plan after june :P Yayy! So excited!!

Hot daymn. I think I can only update on a weekly basis now. Ya think things couldn't get any busier...well it just keeps going :P Haha. This week was SOOO packed with high school seniors it ain't even funny. However, I did get too see lots of people so that was really exciting! Haha, it was like mad infestation of seniors. First I saw Jon Chang who I took to dinner with me, then I housed Angie the next day, and saw, Eric, Elyse and Bren, then the next day I think Mark, Willie, and Victoria came down, so I fed them aweseome DC food :P And then the day after that I saw Long, and Jeremy with everybody, and finally on Friday I housed Ariele and saw Ian. Hot daymn :P
And omg, i just HAVE to tell everyone that Ben lost a tooth while playing basketball. And it was...daymn..surprising. And THEN, the next time I saw Ben, he had his tooth. And I was like..wow! And then I zoomed in (leaned in) And BAM! He popped the tooth out..which basically caused me to FahhREEEAKKK out and scream in the middle of a VERY civilized tennis match..cuz he was wearing a daymn invisible retainer! SCARIEST SHIT EVER!
And plus I had a stats midterm on friday. BUt hot daymn, I got 39/40!! YYAYYY!!! I finally get to brag like Alisa! :P Haha, come on now, when was the last time I got an A in anything :P Heehee. Shiet, that was exciting :P
SO yes, I celebrated by going to Santa Monica to spend a buttload of money, which I'm earning back right now, with 7 straight hours of overtime. But I just saw a bunch of people I know..along with someone you all know..get busted with marijuana right in front of me. AHh..the perks of working here :P Anywayz...4 hours has past and I still haven't done any work..so I guess it's time to REALLY do my homework :P

Alright, after the hell I went through last week..I still have shitloads of work to do in terms of work load :( But yeah, the weekend was sooo incredibly nice, and 6 Flags was SO much fun yesterday :P Haha, if I had to pick just one moment for yesterday it'd have to be this:
You know the places around the park where you can stick your faces in the wooden cutouts, and all the other "picture spots." Well, there was this particular one.. :P Haha.ok ok. FIRST of all, we were in the kids section, so yeah.. So there were these fake "Showers" in barrels. So I got in one, and Ann got in one, and we decided to pretend like we were really naked, cuz I was wearing a tank top, and Ann wore a swim suit under her shirt. Except hers was a swim suit tube top, where you can detach the straps. Anywayz, so all I gotta do is move my straps down, and then Ann takes off her shirt like she's STRIPPING! And this little boy walks by and says, "OOOHH SHIITT!" HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! FUNNIEST MOMENT EVER! We're in this Looney Toons Kids Area, and Ann starts "Stripping!" Hahahha. Anywyaz, we got the picture taken, and it'll be up on the site soon :P Haha. Good times.
So it looks like I Have a packed week again with high schoolers comin down for the week, plus a midterm on Friday. I cannnooooott believe it's already the 3rd week. Daymn...time just flies. And yeah..let's just say I have to maintain a veerryy high gpa this quarter :( unfortunately. sniff.
~To the girls, I'm sooooo sorry about not calling you girls back!! I'm working on it! Give me some time!! :P I'll try to make some calls tonight...if I get enough work done :P

ok...so for some reason as I was walking yesterday morning..and had like a 30 minute break, I thought it'd be just dandie to write down my life the past few days. Yes..it was amusing at first..I have to admit..but now that's it's 4:30am and I'm still going on what I had from like...Monday night...this is not such a happy situation anymore. So..let me tell YOU what I wrote down in this lovely piece of paper.
All of you I'm sure will enjoy the misery I've been through in the last 2 days. So let's see how it all started. Oh yes..I got my grades. and DAYMN. i thought I did good and at least better than first quarter..haha..yeah..not a funny subject actually. Yup. And the fact that my parents want me to go into public health..and pharmacy is SO not cool. Besides the fact that I have been taking a year long GE Cosmos course..that would just defeat the purpose of taking that GE. And dude...if I can barely pass a GE course..how the hell am I gonna survive in a chem or bio class?? meh. enough of that, that stuff just depresses me.
Next. Alright..then I found out that I knew like 5 people in this econ discussion, and the TA is really cool, so I switched over. But in my stupidity, I accidentally dropped stats in the process. Don't ask me how. do NOT ask me how. It just happened...and then I Couldn't get back in! aughh. Mann..i already did this to myself first quarter when i accidentally dropped econ 1..and then couldn't get in..how do I do it again? i dunno..i cease to amaze myself at my stupidity.
Ok. So obviously I'm fixing that problem...but in the mean time..i run all around Hedrick, attempting to find people who know how to do the econ hw. Yup. Then get like 5 hours of sleep..and then more craziness begins.

Really guys..I know i LOVE being busyand all, but yeah...i think it's just bad timing on most the part. And I really do wanna try out field hockey..besides..it should be fun and i miss sports sooo much! And I"ll get to meet more people :P Haha :P Edgar told me today that I should be the President of UCLA :P short story...which I don't wanna go into right now :P
Not only that...but like..I haven't had one single decent meal since Monday...but I haven't been hungry either..and I just didn't have time to eat!..and now ya know where you're past that stage that you're hungry?? yeah...i'm wAY past that stage :P OH yeah..and I lost 5% of body fat within 3 days..this is a bad thign right??
Awww..but as I was working, lots of the RA's came by and brought me snacks! :P Aww, they're so sweet! And Ann and I have decided that we wanna become RA's..but only if we work in the same hall :P

Hrm...well...this journal has the possibility of being realllyyyy long...but whatever..I'll make the long stories short. So, started off going to Taiwan for about 5-6 days. And omg. I forgot how awesome it is there! Haha, the last time I went was two years ago, and I got food poisoning the day I got there :P Whee.
Anywayz, this time all five days consisted of eating REALLY good food, which Sandra and I have decided is dirty..but that's what makes it good :P The dirtier the food, the better. Yup :P So yes. I ate the really good food at really cheap prices which is always excellent. On top of that, I practically went shopping everyday at places that had clothes for $3 and just..stuff for $0.30. I was in heaven :P Also saw LOTS of my cousins and their babies. Ones a natural disaster waiting to happen, and the other is an angel with an IQ of like 1000. Plus it was perfect weather, and the roundtrip flight only cost $500!! So yes. I've decided all my girls need to come with me some time in the next couple years :P
Okay, with four days left of break obviously I did nothing but chill with most of my girls..didn't get to see much of the guys cuz they was up to no good all the time ;) haha, j/k love you guys :P But yeah, definitely spent some QUALITY time with my homechicks. Haha, talking about all sorts of girlie stuff like...boyfriends ;) ..who will be married..single..and who will hook up at our 10 year high school reunion?? The names our of children..hahha. I'm so sorry that Klaus and Derrick had to go through it :P But hey :P I'm definitely gonna enjoy watching Derrick get married to an African American woman named Leticia with a big ass :P Excellent choice Derrick :P
Had many meals with people..and Michelle STILL can't handle ordering food in restaurants :P Yup..daymn ..asian..people who can't speak good :P Haha, brings back memories of good times in Teppanyaki and yeah...Teppanyaki :P
Loved bumpin up the music in Alisa's car, making Amy do retarded things late at night (oh my god the pictures are going up soon :P and so is the VIDEO of Amy doing the retarded dance), going to Pearl Tea for the sake of stocking up, waking up for breakfast after 5 hours of sleep and walking downtown, wreaking havoc in the hotel Cabana..cuz we can :P ... I even loved coughing up a storm from choking from my own laughter :P..haha, something I miss in college :P..even tho people thought I had the plague disease from China..haaHHA! you girls thought I got you sick..it was that daymn Alisa and her sleepover :P Hahahhaa :P
Anywayz, once again, it was great being home, and even better to be able to see everyone together again :P Only one more quarter and (2/3 of a semester???) to go until we's is all reunited again :P The planner is starting to plan for summmer! Stick around!! Talk to you all soon!! |

Okay. So lemme just say that next time I'mhere, SOMEONE needdsss to come with me!! Hahah :P Everything is soooo great!! I forgeot how good the food is!! And how cheap. Haha. It was just a sad thing when my bro and I were eating Teppanyaki last night, and it was SO much better than home and SO much cheaper too. Like half the price. Speaking of half the price, I finally got these adidas shoes I wanted!! They're 56 dollars in Cali, and here they were a little under 30!! How great is that?! Anywayz, today..we're going to a temple..visiting my uncle (mom's bro) who I never see..and then maybe getting a full body massage!!! :P Yayy!!

Hii!!! Hahah :P So yeah...I'm in Taiwan!! Daymn...the last 2 weeks of 2nd quarter would have been AWESOMER than it already was if I didn't have finals. Haha. Dammit Ann. No distractions next time. Don't tell me my boy is in your room so that I could haul ass up the stairs and almost trip twice and look like a panting fool in front of him :P Actually..continue to tell me!!!!! :P ppllleasee!! Heheh. Anywayz, so yes, lemme tell you about Taiwan so far!
Okay, well the flight was just a little over 13hours. And yeah...Ididn't sleep that much cuz I knew I was getting in to Taiwan at 10pm. Soyeah..I ruined my eyesight even further by watching like..3 movies in a row. And omg. I dno't know if you've heard of the pneumonia thing going around Asia...but yeah, I fuckin coughed twice, and the couple in front of me told me to go take medicine. I'mlike...wtf. PLUS. Like..at firstI couldn't tell what they were saying..so they had to say it like 3 times! Whatever. I sat next to a nice guy who goes to Hayward..not too much excitement there...but he did direct me around the Taipei airport cuz I didn't REALLY know where to go(parents were already here and Mike is coming tomorrow) Yup...so after I met my parents...we took a 2 hour bus ride, and then a taxi to my grandma's house...talk about how not having a car sucks :P ...altho i would NEVER drive in Taiwan.THEY"RE CRAZY! Yup.
Anywayz...woke up early. My parents and I had breakfast. FOR $2.00. Isn't that amazing?! $2.00 for a 3 person meal! But not only that...after we went to the market, which was crazy packed..as usual. But OOMMGGGG!! Okay, so check this. EVERYTHING was either like $0.30 OR like $$3.00. Good mechanical pens, erasers, mirrors, hair, makeup, and nail accessories, office tools like tacks, pushpins, EVERYTHING! is literally 30cents. And then all shirts, JEANS, purses, wallets, belts, were all $3.00!! It was crazy! Altho, some of the fashion is kind of weird...but yeah :P
Haha :P One of my aunt's saw me and my parents walk out of my grandma's house, and she drives on the scooter down the street chasing after us screaming in Chinese, "HEY AMERICAN PEOPLE! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" hahah :P I was like..what the...until I realized it was her :P Haha :P Shoulda realized it was a family member :P
So..I figured out how to use the internet. And it's all in chinese! And I figured out how to download AOL Instant Messenger..all bymyself!:P hehhe :P Yay to me! Anywayz, I'mma go mosey around some more :P Bye!! |

Gahhhhhh! Oooommggg! So yeah. My first final is on Monday- econ! sshiiiette. Anywayz, I've been so busy lately I can't even remember anything in the past week. Haha, all I can remember is a lot of Ann. Haha, I hung out with Ann like 24/7. Yup, we go insane together :P And we stalk our hotties together :P yyyayyy! :P
Seeing as how she forced me out on Tuesday, we watched Phone Booth with Colin Farrell, and let me tell you...it was a good movie, but it was like so intense and stressful it was probably worse than studying :P Haha, and it was probably a movie with with LOWEST budget ever. Yup..the entire 1 hour long movie was taped in one spot :P Haha, but it's a decent movie :P Dunno if I would pay for it tho.
But seriously tho, lately, between work and studying there hasn't really been much else :( When I'm not working, I'm studying, and I barely got any sleep these past few days. *sigh* Since I was really nice about working these past two weeks, I kinda got screwed over with my work schedules and yup...basically been sleeping in intervals of like 2-3 hours. How not cool is that.
Oh yeah, and HRM. i'm working 16 hours in 3 days, around, after, and inbetween, my finals! Whoopdeedoo. But I still love my job :P Just not during dead and finals week when people are so daymn stingy with their time.
So OBVIOUSLY, i CAN NOT wait until Monday is over, cuz I don't give a crap about my Cosmos final :P Whatever yo, major classes come first :P Then off for home on Wednesday!! And to Taiwan on Thursday! :P Yay! Can't wait!! :P
Also, congrats to all of the seniors who got into UCLA - Jeremy, Eric, Long, Victoria, Peter, Peter, Angie, Willie, and everyone else I don't know of!! :p

Cute story of how intelligent I was when I was little, and how sad my brother was. And also what a nice little boy my brother was and what a biotch I was:
Scenario:
Mommy gave me and Mike each 10 gummi bears. Mind you, we're like at age 3 and 5. :P
So we're each sitting in our separate chairs next to each other:
Mom stars fake crying to Mike and says: "Mommy doesn't have any! Can I have one?"
Mike: "ok."
Mom goes to me: "Can I have one?"
Me: "You already had one."
Mom goes back to Mike: (pretending to cry) Mommy doesn't have any candy, can I have one?"
Mike: "ok."
Mom goes back to me: "Can I have one?"
Me: "You just had one"
Mom goes back to Mike...yadda yadda. So this continues until Mike only has one left, and my mom ate 9 of his gummi bears while I ate all of mine :P
And Mike says:..Mommy can you go to another room and cry?
HAHAHHA. My brother was stupid. :P And i was the devil.

So I know it's crazy and all, but I'm home...again :P after only two weeks. I was REALLY debating this time whether I should come home or not, but I just couldn't resist! Janet called me at like 1 in the afternoon on Thursday, telling me she was driving home from SD and was wondering if I wanted to get picked up and go home! With Amy too! :P So yes, therefore since I was pondering all afternoon, I couldn't get squat done, besides the fact that I had to switch everything around so I could leave this weekend.
Long story short, I was really mean *not really* to Dennis, but I really just kinda abused him cuz he's so nice :P so that I could switch shifts with him, and then I made him come back at the end of the shift so that I could go watch Catch me if you can, which he was planning on watching too..sorta..but he hadn't made up his mind, but since he was gonna cover for me, he really coudln't go, but then he ended up not wanting to go anywayz. But yeah, thanks Dennis! And then got massive amounts of phone calls about driving late, since we were plannin on leaving at 12, but I actually left at like 1:15 :P Anywayz, so on the road trip up, we listened to NOW 8, and those songs TOTALLY reminded us of like 7th, 8th, and 9th grade, so it was quite a trip down memory lane :P And then lots of obnoxious singing by Amy and I which Janet and Dee can vouch for. :P Anyway, got home in less than 5 hours :P Yippee, took a GREAT nap of like at most 30 minutes, then my dad called me at 6:40am, and I thought that was the alarm for 8:15, so I got up to shower, and then I came out of the shower and it was only 7:30. Daym I'm retarded. So yeah, watched tv for a bit while Amy continued to sleep on the top bunk, and then I got sleepy, so we decided to sleep and not go visit LAHS :P (Not a short story..sorrry)
Next, I went shopping with my mother. And omg, check out how majorly she conned the stupid sales person. :P Second attempt at long story short: she ended up paying $200 for 9 Nautica, Polo, and DKNY sweaters, including 1 wool coat. Daymn?! Haha, I paid like $80 at A&F for 2 items :P hehe. definitely need to learn the tricks of the trade.
Next, I would also say me and my roommiie bonded this past week. omg, it was like overhelming *sarcastic* :P Haha, all in one night we danced at Dance marathon together, painted our toe nails together, made an adventure to go scrounge for food, and we also made plans to VACCUUMMMM. Omg, you do NOT wanna know what's growing on our floor and underneath our beds, not to mention her pile of clothes on the floor which seems to be crawling closer and closer to my side :P Haha. Great!

Hahaha :P Well. I suppose I could say I started off the weekend with lots of work. Friday I worked from 12 -3pm, but decided to chill in the back while getting paid, so I basically hung out and until 4pm talkin to the mail shift people. Hehe, I find myself hanging out there more and more often :P Everytime I walk by, I just chill there for awhile, and maybe even help out..WITHOUT GETTING PAID! *gasp* But yeah, I'm really likin it there, so it's all good :P Aiite, so 5 ours later, at 9pm, I had to do my rotational. So yeah, once a quarter I have to do a 9-4am shift on a Friday or Saturday so that front deskers are able to go places on weekends. And it actually wasn't bad at all. I spent basically the first 3 hours chillin the RA's who hangin around the front desk. Had some lovely prank calls ;) Haha, all in good fun :P And then from like 12-1 I read a bit, talked to people, Sirin came down and visited :P And then at like 1, Will brought his laptop down and so me, him, and Sivhour (my roommate next year :P) watched Tarzan :P So yeah, time passed rather quickly :P Plus I make like $50 that night :P And i got my check too! I'm makin about $100 a week! Yay! Not bad for what I do :P
So yeah, finally went to bed around 4:30. Woke up to eat brunch with Derrick, and guess who we saw! Derrick's roommmate, Alex, is from Gunn and MARK HARTFORD came to visit him!! Hahah! It was soo cool!! I hadn't seen him since elementary school!! Haha, he looks really good tho! He doesn't have a rat tail anymore, he's skinnier, taller, and definitely got better lookin! :P
So yeah, after that, Liz and Phillip, took me and Ann to Costco and Ranch 99. Then we ate dinner in the dining halls, and went to see Old School. And I kinda ditched Pierre, so I'm soooorryyyyy! *sniff* Pierre's really nice second year who has a car and was realllyy nice and changed his plans so he could take me, Luce and Siv clubbin, but plans got changed so I ended up going to Old School..and he ended up sittin in his room. BUt it's ok, cuz we met up at the Dance Marathon with Estella and some other random people I guess :P
It's put on by the "Real World" MTV show, so there were lots of Real World celebs there, and it was so much fun with activies like Soul Train, the giant Twister Game. Hahah, at one point the WHOLE ROOM was doing the dance from "I'm So Excited" Haha, it was hella fun with everyone doing the same dance. Dance Marathon(a 26 hr dance, where money goes to pediatric foundation) danced utnil 4:15am, planned on going back @ 10, and me and Estella got up, but Pierre was nowhwere to be found, so we went bakc to bed..and I got up at 3:15 :( Hehhe. Oh well. I feel quite energized now, and I have LOTS of econ to do :P So YYYAYYYYYY!! I finally got off campuss this weekend!! SOO happy right now! |

| Fire, Water, and grroossnnessss - but somehow I benefit :P |

Aiite. So check this. Sleeping peacefully at 8am, when BAM. Fire alarm goes off. At first, I'm like..what the fuck, this isn't funny. I REFUSE to get up, tell my roommate Lauren to go check it out. She looks out the door, and she goes, "ohh....mahh....gawwdd. Check this out. You won't believe it." So I'm like..ughhhh finne. I look out the door, and literally stare. Just stare. Yup, staring in awe for about 30 seconds. Some pipe (sprinkler which we later discovered) had blown. and water was JETTTING, that's right JETTING out of it, and it was spraying so hard that it was like slamming against the other side of the hall. It did NOT look like a sprinkler was supposed to do that. So basically Lauren and I look at each other. And we're like..ohmygod. Do we have to EVACUATE? And I being the excellent front desker I am, says, "I believe so." But there's no way to get to the elevators...hell I ain't running through that water...although I have to admit the thought ran through my mind :P Haha. How stupid would that have been?! All cuz of my laziness. So yeah, unfortunately we took the stairs.
BUT FIRST. Lauren was a genius and said..should we take anything? I debated for awhile..and decided to take ID and cell phone. Mah CELL PHONNE. I know I can't live without it :P Hehe. Yeah, then Lauren was a genius and said, "you realize it's going to flood." So we stuffed a towel at the bottom of the door, so that it would stop or at least slow down the flood. Genius. We UCLA people are so smart. Unfortunately, we weren't genius enough to lift up all our crap on put it on our beds and desks. But the water didn't make it that far, so our stuff is ok :P
So yeah, waited outside for awhile. And I didn't know that I was supposed to work and help evacuate the building since I'm officially a Hedrick official...so I didn't know..but after going back into the building, Sirin told me I should have checked in, but it's okay cuz no one noticed. So I put on a work shirt, and regulated the elevator for like 2 minutes. When everyone was in, I went up to my floor, and my boss(Hedrick manager) was there talking to our floor. And she saw me in my neat-o work shirt, and gave me two hours credit.
2nd and 3rd plus, I was wearing platforms at the time so I didn't actually touch the water at all. And apparently the water that comes out of our sprinklers are dirty and andoily water. So obviously it's gonna smell. But yay for me having no sense of smell!! Double win! Yay Yay! :P
So despite all the hazard and the craziness and the damage, I actually benefitted. It's a wonder how this world works :P
But on a serious note, the problem was only a few feet away, and if it had ACTUALLY been a fire. I probably would have FREAKED out. And I wouldn't have known what to save?! Would youuu??? |
